Natural makeup look

I hate when girls put so much make up on they look unnatural (a.k.a. Cake face) and unflattering. Today I'm going to explain to you how to achieve a natural makeup look, that compliments your best features. Also I'm going to show you what products are the best to use on this look.

Products:
- Maybelline dream fresh BB cream (Combines skincare + makeup in 1 simple step. This BB cream is an 8-in-1 Skin Perfector: Blurs imperfections, brightens, evens skin tone, smoothes, hydrates, enhances, protects with SPF 30, 0% oils and heavy ingredients.)
- Maybelline fit me concealer ( No oils, no waxes, no nonsense, natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be…fresh, breathing, natural, exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments allow skin's natural highs and lows to show through, non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested, fragrance-free)
- Maybelline dream wonder powder (This powder is smooth-whipped with 60% less talc, so there’s no chalky dust to cling to flaws. Wonder powder glides on smoothly for smooth-buffed perfection.)
- Cover girl clump crusher mascara ( Get 200% more volume and zero clumps. This mascara has an innovative double-sided brush with lash-loading and clump-combing zones to crush clumps.)
- NYC black or brown pencil eyeliner (depending on your skin color you are going to want to get a different color eyeliner, if you are very fare/pale get a brown or charcoal gray eyeliner, if you are tan or have very dark skin get a jet black eyeliner.)
- Rimmel London white pencil eyeliner (putting this on will make you look 100% more vibrant and awake, especially for this late nights out!)
- E.L.F. Blush (depending if you like more a matte look or a Dewey look (or of you just have a personal preference) you are going to get either the essential all over color stick or the studio blush palette to give you a pigmented glow.)
- Urban Decay naked 3 eyeshadow palette (rose-hued neutrals, from pale, shimmery pink to deep black matte with rosy red micro-glitter. This palette gives you a little shimmer to you natural look!)

Brushes:
- Use a beauty blender to blend in your bb cream and concealer. Beauty blenders use less foundation and concealer because it absorbs and spreads on the face easier and efficiently, giving you better results than using a foundation brush.
- An eyeshadow brush with help you get a perfect shimmery eyeshadow look
- Powder brushes are big and fluffy to help you apply press powder smoothly and easily.
- An angled blush brush helps glide on a perfect amount of blush on the apples of your cheeks!

Apply these products correctly to get a glowing natural look, that will make you look flawless!

Two of my favorite youtubers, Lauren Curtis and Courtney Lundquist have great tutorials to a perfect natural makeup look.

If there is one thing I really dislike, it's dry chapped lips. Today I am going to show you how to make a DIY lip scrub!

First you will need these ingredients
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
- 1 tbsp vaseline ( coconut oil is also a good alternative but I recommend to use Vaseline more because it's thicker, it keeps the lip scrub more in tact and does not falls apart as easily)
- 1 very small container
* may use up to 2 weeks!

Once you have all the ingredients you are going to want to mix them together in a small bowl, then taking the lip scrub you just made and putting it into a small container to keep moist and so you can take it on the go! You want to apply a dime size amount all over you're mouth, rub your lips together until some of the sugar starts to dissolve to get all the dead skin off. Once the sugar starts to dissolve go ahead and rinse the lip scrub with warm water, leaving your lips soft and smooth!
Apply Chapstick right after rinsing off the lip scrub to keep it smooth and silky throughout the whole day! (I recommend using Burt's bees, Nivea, or Vaseline)

This Saturday, May 2nd is my high school prom! This is the second most important day in a girls life (right next to there wedding). Everything needs to be perfect, from the dress, shoes, hair, makeup, etc. Today I'm going to take you step by step on how to plan for your prom.
First things first, try to search for your dress and shoes a month or at least three weeks before the prom so you have enough time to get alterations to the dress without being last minute! If you want everything to go right we need to make sure to book appointments (book appointments two weeks in advance). The good thing is you can make all your appointments in one day! The first one you should call to make an appointment for is your nail salon, book your favorite nail artist and make sure to make the appt. a day before your prom because doing your nails the day of prom can be very time consuming, especially with all the other appointments you are going to be doing that day. Next is your hair appt. make sure to book your favorite hair stylist and be sure to give her a picture of what you want your hair to look like. last but certainly not least appointment of the day is going to be your makeup, its pulls the whole outfit together. In my opinion just go to your local department store and go to your favorite makeup counter (Estee Lauder, M.A.C., Dior, etc.) to book your appointment with any choice of makeup brand you feel like! Also be sure to give the makeup artist a picture of your dress, so he/she knows what kind of makeup look to do, unless you already have one in mind, try to give him/her a visual (picture) on what you want exactly, so they can mimic the look.
Next comes the booking of hotels and limousines. The very first and most important thing you want to do is find a group of your friends who are willing to pay a certain amount to be in the limo and hotel room. Once you got that covered start looking on websites (or google) to find the most affordable price for you and your friends. once you do that, make sure to book a reservation!
I hope these tips will help you all for prom!

Helpful tips for prom:
- Plan accordingly, don't wait till the last minute.
- If you need some inspiration for hair, makeup, nail ideas, etc. I suggest getting a Pinterest!
- Make sure you not only feel pretty in your dress but also comfortable because after wearing it for a certain number of hours it will just get annoying and irritating. (same goes for shoes! you don't want blisters on prom night!)
- If you are getting a hotel room, make sure to bring a change of clothes for later that night, and the next day.

Recently I discovered an all natural home made face scrub. I have tried countless recipes and my favorite one is the honey oatmeal face scrub, it contains three simple ingredients. Oatmeal, honey, and almond oil (coconut oil, or olive oil is another great alternative). Oatmeal contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant components known to cleanse the skin, keeping it refreshed! Oatmeal also helps with dry, itchy irritated skin. Honey contains antibacterial and healing properties to soothe and cleanse the skin. My favorite ingredient of the three has to be the almond oil because it is very light and not greasy at all, it helps clean the skin pores, moisturizing and nourishing the skin. Almond oil is also great for acne prone skin!

Before you apply the face scrub you want to make sure your face is clean and you have no makeup on (I suggest using a toner before applying the scrub). Once your face is clean and fresh go ahead and  splash warm water on your face and apply the scrub. Leave the face scrub on for about four to five minutes, then wash the face scrub off. Once you take the scrub off and have dried your face using a towel, you will notice your face is clean, smooth, and rejuvenated!

Honey oatmeal face scrub recipe:

1/4 honey
1/4 oatmeal (group up finely in a blender for more effective results)
1-2 tbsp almond oil
